Garden Tour – May

So here we are in May. This will be a quick tour as Joe and I were away much of the month. 🙂

Bom dia!

But, whether we’re here or not, the gardens keep growing. So, first, the front yard… it is time for columbine!

The front garden at its best… except for the phlox.

You can see that the phlox is fading somewhat, and at least three colors of columbine are in bloom–purple, hot pink, and coral. I’m pretty sure there is a solid yellow variety in there somewhere, but it’s obviously shy.

The hosta is also making an appearance. Here in the front yard, it snuggles in with a lovely red weigela.

Finally, to top things off and add a little interest, here are a few pots of annuals near the front entrance.

Almost caught up… next is June! This time, the backyard gets its time in the spotlight: lilies, herbs, butterflies, and veggies. See you then!
